Ancient Zanzibar Ruins Under Threat

Plans are under way for the Zanzibar Government to construct a seawall of about 500m to protect Mkumbuu City ruins from being washed away by rising sea levels, according to various reports. During the session, the Russian president also confirmed the intention of the parties to further strengthen cooperation in economic and humanitarian spheres. “The forum which was held recently showed that both Russia and African countries wanted to strengthen cooperation in these areas.
